Scots : an Anglo-Saxon language

Devéria, Richard A. A.2020
Books, Manuscripts
In this short essay, Richard Deveria shows that the Scots language is based on a conservative form of Old English, in which words and features have survived in Scots which have died out in modern English. The article was first published in the Peeblesshire News, 27th February 1998, and is reprinted with minor changes here.
